Title: Wasteland Wildlife
Post by: clanmac on 30 October 2010, 01:25:53 PM
A few varieties of local fauna to give the scavenging bots (previous post) something to worry about.

My version of Molerats, courtesy of the wonderful Hasslefree.

And a few wild dogs, pack hunting in style

Closing for the kill (until they realise quite how many teeth you loose biting tempered steel.

The dogs are AD&D Blink Dogs by Citadel. Picked them up cheap on Ebay.

Lovely job on the beasties!

I am a real fan of the mini Mawes (I have a bunch of them) and think they look great as 'indigenous' creatures rather than demons (I think that was what they were originally made for).

@ commissarmoody : If you have trouble getting the Blink dogs, you could always try and get Farmer Maggot and hounds from the LotR range over at GW...they are nice hounds too :).

Very nice mate, I remember those blink dogs when they came out, sculpts still stand up to today's standards, in paint too.

Any vault dwellers, raiders or such like to post?

Really nice, love the mole rats may have to get some! The new fallout game has reignited my project, I'm doing some more scenic bits and raiders at the moment

Those dogs are fantastic! Also working on some Fallout style stuff, this is pure inspiration.

Those are great. Very nice paint job.

One thing I love about wasteland wildlife. You can slap any type of miniature on the table and claim it's a mutation.

Nice molerats. Robots are really cool too.

Where did you get this "Vaultec Freight" Decal on the container from? Is it self-made?

This project is definitely raising the bar.

Arcturus,

Yes the decal is self made. Surprisingly straightforward.

Cool wasteland beasties. I love the dogs and mole rats. The dogs have quite a rangy look to them.
