We met Rosemary (and co) at the NEC last week (Art Materials Live).

They suggested that acrylic paint users should occasionally use a drop of hair conditioner on natural brushes. Apparently Head & Shoulders is very good for prolonging brush life.

I use the Winsor & Newton brush cleaner and restorer, but hair conditioner makes sense too, because most brushes are afterall natural hair fibers.
