NEWS FLASH!
This just in from our telegraph station in Khartoum.
HMES Hermes enroute to Mogadishu to meet with delegates of the Madhi forces encamped in the area has reportedly been shot down in the suburbs of Mogadishu. We have no reports of casulaties but on board was a detachment of the 24th South Wales Borderers plus the Hermes naval crew and correspondent for the Times, Reginald Oakwood.
Latest reports indicate a large militia force has surrounded the downed Aeronef.
General Gordon in Khartoum does not have forces available at the moment to effect a rescue mission, and so he has contacted via prismatic ethergraph a Prussian force located to the south of the town and asked for their assistance in rescuing survivors of the downed Hermes.
More news to follow......
Battle report to follow :)

Yes Black Aeronef Down is what I was aiming for.
The game will be played this coming Friday. I am busily finishing terrain for the game.

Fellow VSF fanciers :)
It took time for our correspondent to make it out of the Sudan and back to Cairo to transmit his report. The ether link leads to his full account of this sad affair:

The link is pic heavy and full of vsf goodness.
The narration is the work of fellow NWA'er and Arab player James Wright aka Hat Guy on LAF
Cheers
Fuzzy.

Fantastic and agree with the above comments!
Tell me more about those sonic weapons - are they scratchbuilt?

Lovely stuff :-* :-* :-*
Some great characters.

Yummy, ;D ;D ;D

The sonic weapons are built from some bits and pieces I had lying around including a Eureka mortar and some GW street lamps.
Thanks for the kind words, it was a lot of fun to write.
