Hello chaps, I though I'd give the self promotion thing a shot.
I've finally managed to finish the corner and wall towers for the 15mm samurai castle that's on my web site, still working on the gateway but it will be moulded by next week. They fit with the other walls and there will be a couple of 'sets' available.

Exquisite!

I thought everything you posted was self promotion :P lol
Looks great, though! Any chance of gettign away with using it for 28mm?
-
Thanks chaps :)
Himeji is certainly a cracker :-*
@ Christian - These are for 15mm and certainly wouldn't work for 28's, but fear not, I have a plan to release a similar range for 28's and that plan includes getting them done for Salute next year.
I thought everything you posted was self promotion
Nah, not quite everything ;)

Looks good.
...15mm samurai castle...
Who makes the best 15mm Samurai figures?
-
I personally prefer Peter Pig as they are a bit less 'static' in pose to Two Dragons :)

Exquisite work JB..... 8)
I take it that the show table is 15mm? Wonderful.
Looking at you American products I really am looking forward to seeing your AWI project progress. :-*
-
Thanks again chaps, much appreciated :)
@ SI, the show table on the web site was for 28mm and a few people have asked whether I would be doing an AWI range and think the answer is yes, but not quite yet ;)
cheers

Shouldn't worry about a bit of self promotion James - half the people here are at it. If I had anything to self promote, I'd be at it myself! :D
Nice work on the fortress parts. Crisp as ever.

Having had the pleasure to see two of Jim's tables at Salute in the past two years I can only say they were awesome.
Also the news ont he 15mm castle are great. I will nt be able to get it saturday (I will not get paid until next year... grrrrr) But a 15mm castel is definetly my top terrain priority (plus some piggy samurai...) and the 28mm temple in 28mm...
Gents, pray my think tank start to get funding so I will get some money and have more to spend with jim!

Bravo Jim! Hats off! I love your 15 mm Castle. I belong to a rather rum group called the Bengal club out of Los Angeles, California. Amongst the group Doug K and myself are JapanOphiles and both 15 mm and 28 mm samurai. The 15th are armies and the 28th are for skirmish. I was looking at another manufacturer of a 15 mm samurai Castle that has been produced for many years. However problems with delivery and complaints about the quality of the castings due to worn-out molds had me quite worried and leery of ordering. The Castle is quite extensive with both the walls earth works and a central keep available. Please tell me that you are going to expand this wonderful set to include the other items such as a central keep building, and earth/stone works?
I was to the point of scratch building this (I’m fairly good) myself but if I can buy it from you and save time for my other projects so much the better! Not to mention the fact that I don't think I could have done a better job.
Below are some pictures of part (about 1/3 the "Ii" or Red devils) of my samurai 15mm armies. The terrain is a mix of items I built for Samurai battles. We use "Battles in the Age of War" by Peter Pig as our rules of choice for the big armies.
Regards, Bill Witthans

There is a piccie from last year's BLAM meeting in the current WI, which has Samurai as a theme.
Can I recommend this site:

Thanks chaps :) The gateway is nearly done and I'll have it in the mold on Thursday, cast on Friday and ready to ship out on the Monday :D
@ Bill - There are plans to extend the range to include a keep, internal buildings, internal corners and eventually some 45 degree angled sections aswell. I'm not 100% sure what your intention is behind the extra earthworks, perhaps you have a photo of what you are referring too. The castle was designed with gaming in mind so there are some small compromises between gaming and reality. If you mean making the stone walls taller then that's not that practical as the interior of the castle would stay at the same level and having those pieces cast in resin would be a bit cost prohibitive.
I would of course be happy to discuss doing some custom sections and internal levels though :)
Very nice detail on the Ii by the way 8)
The Samurai Archives is a great resource but be wary if you join the forum, I found it a bit unfriendly and 'if you're not in the know then you're not worth talking too', some of the members are a bit in your face etc as well.
cheers
