Title: Martian Empires in 28mm
Post by: Skrapwelder on 22 November 2010, 06:02:56 PM
Last Friday was our second run through with these rules modified for 28mm.

Alfrik has posted a report and some pictures on his blog. Please excuse the unpainted bases. We're still experimenting with base sizes.

Here's a link to a battle report and some pictures by one of our players in Fraiday nights game.

Interesting stuff, I've considered doing something similar myself, so its nice to see someone else doing the hard work!  :) Looks like plenty of fun too.

How easy was it to convert the rules to 28mm? Did you just increase ranges/distances by 1/3 or something?

We started with a desired base movement for Line Infantry of 6 inches and went from there.
The formula worked out to be: Move rate in centimeters divided by 2.5 and converted to inches.
Range numbers were doubled.
After two games now and a lot of armchair generaling we can find very little else we felt needed modifying.

Thanks for the reply, now I'm even more tempted to get the rules and finish off my Naval Brigade expeditionary force.  :)
