*edit* I've just noticed that there's one of my buildings in 'Yorktown' :D

even too nice...
<Arrigo is now trying to reattach is jaw after drooling too much>

Interesting to see so many historical anachronisms on one wargames table, is it Yorktown or the Heights of Abraham? Did the British have time travel in the eighteenth century? I am just too darn picky? Probably.
-
Lots of nice terrain inspiration and the inclusion of interesting vignettes. 8) But such a shame for the photos where someone played hoopla!
-
I've actually seen that before - bloody impressive, even second time around.
There are a lot of figures in there I'd love to know the manufacturer of.
-
Great stuff in here ..a veritable feast for the eyes ...
-
The first word out of my mouth when I saw picture one is unprintable!
Lovely table and figures.
Furt - I agree, some figures I would love to know who the manufacturer is!
-
On examination there are Front Rank SYW, and Front Rank AWI. Perry Miniatures. Foundry, Redoubt Enterprises French Indian Wars, and some Old Glory. I thought I saw some Eureka ragged Americans as well.
-
Some extremely nice parts in there.
I believe that table is mainly by Paul Darnell of Touching History - it certainly looks like his groundwork and some of the scratchbuilt blockhouses and so on are certainly his.
Great set up, but doesn't really say Yorktown to me.
Now the 2mm scale diorama of the entire battle of Yorktown in the National Army Museum, London - that is a sight to behold.
-
'Tis very nice but so much effort for AWI when they could have done a more interesting period ;D
-
Very, very cool.

At first I thought I was looking at a diorama. Then it finally dawned on me that those guys were actually playing a game! I haven't seen anything better, although many of the games presented at Hamburg Tactica are the equal of this. It would clearly make the cut to be admitted to Hamburg Tactica, and it would win best of show at our local game convention with ease anytime.
One of the two ships did seem to be from an earlier period, but it still looked great. The casualty rings do need to go. Otherwise this game was quite glorious. All those details and vignettes really make that table come alive.

I am extremely jealous! o_o >:( ::) :? :-*

Anachronism, Asmackronism. Who bloody cares! Too gorgeous for words and I'm in need of adjective replacement therapy.
Actually, those photos are exactly what I hope to achieve in my own games - hope for, not always get there. But one does have to have a goal.
Wow. Thanks for sharing.

Is it possible to do that in a lifetime? It will take 4 generations before I accomplish something like that. Eye candy as it´s best :o

It is really awesome but I dont get it why they put so many pictures online. Lots of the pics repeat themselves.Just a different angle...But anyway it is great and inspiring.
