yeah but it depends what you want to play, if it's war game based the rules are free pdfs, if not then I think you hve to pay:

Several of the titles seem VERY INTERESTING even if you don't play RPGs, just for the PC character descriptions, plot generators, and gaming ideas.
I certainly will buy a couple.
Thanks for the tip.
Best wishes.

:o :o :-* :-* ;D ;D
Thanks for the heads-up!!!! I've been wanting that and the Savage Worlds Mars book for ages it seems!!! Got both of them on my PC right now!!! Bwahahahahahahahahaha......
It's too bad that a lot of players, now-a-days, don't know enough about pulp to role play it very well. :'(
I ran a Pulp RPG campaign for over two years and the damn players could never get it through their thick skulls that is was ALRIGHT to be captured and put in a death trap. They always wanted to fight to the last anemic drop of blood to avoid this. lol

--- This is the one you need for the "core rules".

If you're thinking about doing a pulp RPG with the system you might also want to check these out too...

They also offer a set of universal miniatures rules for free that is pretty darn good too...
Savage Showdown - http://www.peginc.com/downloads.html (http://www.peginc.com/downloads.html)
Go to the second section on the page, "Savage Worlds Showdown", download "Showdown Rules".
Sorry for the unexpected and heart-felt gush of information... I like the system and am excited about getting the Trilling Tales and Mars books. ;D
The system is well worth checking out, imho.

I bought several of these titles in the past as a source of scenario ideas/background for some pulp skirmish games using other rules. They are a good resource. I need to check my inventory and fill in some holes.

Downloaded! ;D

I got my lot!
Something like USD$75.00 value for only USD$15.00 !
Bwa ha ha ha ha
I already wanted several of those titles and this was a great opportunity.
Now, I have enough stuff to keep me busy for a loooong time, reading and adapting the scenarios, feats, special powers, characters, etc. to my current skirmish rule system.
This was really a great tip.
Thanks again.
Best wishes.

Many thanks for the heads up! I had been thinking about getting the Icons RPG and couldn't pass it up for $1. I also got the character generator and two of the adventures. I think I saved something like $50.

Lots of good stuff there, thanks for the heads up!
Bought the Savage Worlds Explorer Edition book about a year ago, haven't had a chance to do much beyond read and re-read it, and do a bit of character building. I should talk my D&D4e group into a one-night Savaging at some point.

I have a printed copy of that book, Thrilling Tales 2nd Edition, I'st a great source of info and inspiration for any pulp game.
Has an interesting plot generator at the end of the book.
The book is focused on Savage Worlds but most of the chapters are background info about the pulp era 100% usable in other game systems.
In fact, that book plus the Savage Worlds free miniature rules is all you need to make your own pulp skirmish game.
