Title: First of my Empress Boers ~ De Bykli's Commando?

The bareheaded figure is made using the Spanish Civil War head set, as I did n't like the Boer in pith helmet so much. These are really lovely figures in my view, a joy to work with.

Post by: Plynkes on 03 December 2010, 10:39:13 AM: The helmet guy is meant to be Piet Uys, leader of the Transvaal Burgher Force, who was killed at Hlobane. There is a photo of him posing with that helmet on his lap. I guess it does look a little un-Boerlike if you're not planning to use him as Uys.
