Title: CANCON 2011: Convention survival guide.

Well, this will be the first Cancon I'm going to... heck, the first gaming convention...What can I expect? What should I take with me (I'm not in any of the events)? And who else is going? :)

 Biggles and I will get there at eleven. Bluewillow has a stall,we could all meet up at the stall,say twelve?

Painted minis,unpainted,bits and bobs. Willow is large with red hair,can't miss him....... ;)

Have no fears, Christian, I will be there.

Mind you, for the first time in many years. (Conventions don't really fascinate me)

A small group will assembling around 9:30 in the carpark, I understand with Evzone, Greywolf, CB, akula_au and myself at least. If you know the 'willow then find his stall.

Look for a boater.

Bluewillow  has a pretty high stall. He has a radial engine and it pulls to the right at very little provocation. Red hair and small roundels on his shoulders.

Painting Princess and I got there about midday on Saturday. I bumped into Greywolf stalking the grounds, as well as Harkwood and a few other familiar faces. I didn't see you, Starkadder! One of these days...

One of the highlights was definitely the Eureka stand: had a bit of a chat to Nic and Jack, and none other than kingofdaveness himself! (I even picked up a couple of his Dwergs and some invaluable tips for sculpting).

We have lots of photos still to come... there were some good participation games, and heaps of tournament play.

Nicely done Christian. And may I add how much of a pleasure it was to meet such a nice young couple :)
