i want to start a coupple of new Games this Year.Allready have my AE-Bounty Book, the Fubar Rules,Judge Dredd Ruleset and so on.Now i need a new Gameboard.Hopefully the Board will be generic enough to use it for various different Settings such as Postapoc/2000 AD or near Future/Mo-fo...
i have 8 of these 20x20 Inches ( 50x50cm) Foamboards.First Board will be a Industrie/Facility Style Board with only a few Buildings. Here are some wip Pics of the First Steps...
Plastic Parts ( Doors,Panels) are from the Urban War Terrain Kits.Picked up very cheap on Fleabay.

Very nice, just be careful with expanded polystyrene, it's not that resilient and your hard work may become damaged very quickly. Might be worth mounting them to precut MDF? (Local DIY stores should be able to cut to size).
The Commander
-
I agree with commander viper, I have done something similar with quite hard foam and suffered the consequences of not basing it on wood as well. Do take care to prevent warping tough.
-
VERY COOL Industrial Chic Look! Painted up it looks even better than the W.I.P. photos promised it would be. The minis look TERRIFIC in the setting...FINE WORK!
-
oh!
i like it!
your painting style is ideal for this sort of dirty, dusty terrain.
keep it up!
-
I'm jealous! Looks great.
-
thx for the kind Comments Fellas :)
Todays progress:Warning Signs,Tags,Posters.Next Step will be painting all the smaller Scenery to make the Board look more "Alive"
As for the Stability of the Board:I have a large Wooden Table as Underground ( one of those boring flat Static Green Grass Tables) :?

Great looking stuff. Love the posters and small details.
-
Yes, the details make it. I would be reticent to use polystyrene to make gaming scenery from, but this looks great!
-
thx Guys, added the first Batch of my Scenery, all from Black Cat Bases, its getting better and better...

I really like the street litter. It's quite hard to give a landscape some "untidy" look. Well done!
-
That looks TERRIFIC...the signs of civilization are a definite plus.
-
Very inspiring stuff, consider many ideas nicked.
-
The street litter is great - too many otherwise great urban game settings are lacking suitable litter and details!
Looks like you resized images of real products for at least some of the boxes and other clutter?
-
thx, glad you like it :) I got the Paper Stuff from this Link: http://imperiuswargaming.wordpress.com/painting-and-board-log/making-paper-terrain/ (http://imperiuswargaming.wordpress.com/painting-and-board-log/making-paper-terrain/)Theyre Free!thx to Tinker from the Postapoc Forum ;) for the Hint!
-
Nice work, I have those white resin barricades, which I haven't painted yet either.
-
It is looking great. Really like the street litter!
