Can you suggestion good sources for civilian fashion of the Antebellum South?  Men's fashion is of particular interest.  Thank you.  Richard

Richard,

I can't think of where it is just now, but I may have a book to recommend for you.  It's actually targeted towards the younger set but it has loads of colored drawings of period clothes.  I'll try and track it down in the next couple of days and get you the title and publisher.  Meanwhile, if you have a good bookstore near at hand go and visit the kids section of historical titles.  I've found lots of cool stuff that way - especially in little out of the way shops in quaint towns.  By the way, I'm in northern California so the titles I see ought not to be too hard to find further south.
