Title: My Plague Marines... no, don't run away!
Post by: Christian on 13 January 2011, 09:45:18 AM
Hi everyone,

Well, I was planning to get stuck into BloodBowl these holidays... but I haven't done much aside from play a few games and do some converting for my Norse Ulfwerener.

I have been selling off a lot of my Warhammer 40,000 gear and I came across a box full of Chaos Marines I purchased towards the end of last year. This coincided with digging out a few old Chaos Codexes, and inspiration struck: to finish a small warband of Chaos Marines, rather than the usual larger armies. I have one squad of 10 Chaos Marines, a couple of characters... and not much else.

So, I converted these guys:

So it's been an exercise in sculpting as well as seeing yet another project come to light... these three guys will make up a 5-man squad of the buggers. Still to come, a special weapon and the unit's Aspiring Champion (or whatever they're called).

Let me know what you think. There'll be more pictures on my blog soon!

Then, February will be Colonial month!

Very nice. I may have to pick up a box and do some conversion work to fit in with my old, old metal guys.

Say what you will, GW guys are fun to convert and paint.

Just for the sake of completion...

A leader with a big gun and gross head, and a guy pointing :) Packing these up for now and coming back to them later!

Cheers!
