Title: French conquest of Algeria 1830's
Post by: timg on 13 January 2011, 12:58:46 PM
Some of the figures I've been working on using Perrys Carlist Foreign Legion and their Sudan Bashi-Bazouks for the opposition.

Very cool.

Isn't there a "Rif" miniatures that does terrain and figures for that period also?

Yes there is :

http://www.rifrafminiatures.co.uk/ (http://www.rifrafminiatures.co.uk/)

Most of the figures are armed with bolt action rifles and are therefore unsuitable for the conquest of Algeria but pack RIF 6 would fit the bill perfectly :

And some of the fanatics below could also be pressed into service :

Size-wise, the Rif-Raf figures are a bit slimmer than their Perry counterparts, but they should mix all right within the same unit.
