Now if you wanted to be cute, you could inscribe a suitable motto on their colours like 'vai tomar no cu'. Might even stiffen their resolve.

Vai tomar no cu means 'shove it up your arse' or perhaps ' go stick it up your ass' would be the nearest approximation for our  North American friends. The verb tomar has multiple meanings,  although literally it means to take or partake. For example it can be used for drinking or when taking a bath for example.

 lol I love that. If I ever get around to doing some Portugese troops that will definitely appear somewhere. Maybe get a t-shirt made and wear it to work  :)
