Oh my word! The officer is superb! :-*
The rest are excellent as well but the officer is full of character 8)
-
I really do like his work, unfortunately (for now) not the period for me :'(
-
Stunning!!! :D
-
Bloody superb! :-*
-
'tache-tastic! :-*
-
:o :-* 8)
I had some difficulties making the Texan riders fit their horses (but maybe it’s just me)… Anyhow I hope these will be a better fit. That being said, I think they look pretty amazing… I’m pretty sure I saw some color plates of the Mexican cavalry uniforms on the net. I can’t remember where exactly but, IIRC, it was a colourful uniform.
-
More great stuff, full of character and the soldier reaching into his cartridge pouch actually looks as though he is NOT going to dislocate his shoulder.
-
More great sculpts. Well done Matt and Nick. Just hope there are enough Tex-Mex enthusiasts out there to justify the exhaustive range you're building... (Even if it is only for your own enjoyment really ;))
-
SUPERB,,,,Will buy as soon as posible. THE CID.
-
wow, Nick! what a load of beauties, well done!
-
:-*
Great looking cavalry Nick! I do so love nice cavalry.
Now to figure out how to fit them into VSF... which I don't think will be too difficult. ;)
-
More wonderful work by Matthew!
-
Wow Nick, fantastic miniatures, well done to you and Matthew.
Do pig stickers come with the cavalry?
Love the skirmishing Soldados with their grim determination alongside the dismounts.
Cheers,
Helen

Sorry, no you will need to provide your own lances.
I bought some from North Star, a pack of 80 or so wire lances for £8 I think.they should last a while, I am using them for flag poles as well.

The charging command pack works well with these. There maybe more officers etc in the future if the demand is there.

Hi Nick,
Actually, another command set with ncos included would be nice. Some separate heads with shako, forage cap, bareheads/bandaged heads plus discarded shakos etc would be good for conversion and base decoration for the latter.
Thanks,
Helen

Dismounted cavalry - awesome!!!! :-* :-* :-*
-
:-* ;)
-
Excellent work :o :-*
Just one observation with the cavalry - it looks like the end of the reins are shown in the riders left hand but the saddlecloth covers the end of the reins sculpted on the horse?

Well spotted, fortunately I also saw it, just before they are due go off to be cast.... ::)

:P
Now I just have to finish off the Presidiales I bought last year. By the way who are your stockists that I encountered at Rampage and SELWG last year? I keep forgetting their name and it would be handy to keep an eye on which shows they are at (money saved on postage equates to more to spend on figures ;)).
-
The only chap who stocks my stuff is Red Knight Games formerly Snipers Nest. I don' think he does many shows except Selwg and one or two other smaller shows in the south east.
Its worth giving me a call in advance as I am usually wandering around at Salute, Colours, Warfare and Selwg as a punter. I can always bring figures along for collection. :)
-
Really nice Nick - u should be very proud. :)
-
Im not too sure how much longer Im going to resist these....

Dont, feel the force.................They are lovely figures, full of character and a joy to paint. Cant wait to see what they do with the New Orleans Greys when they do them!

The New Orleans Greys are on the workbench now, aiming for delivery in march.
-
These are bloody good looking, Nick! My favourites in your range so far.
-
Malamute, I might have take you up on that offer before Salute. :P
-
No problem drop me a pm nearer the time or call, my number is on the Boot Hill website.
-

Sorry Nick, but you're forgetting about the holy trinity: marching, charging and standing. You have a marching and charging command, so you need to add a standing command or your line will offend the gods of sculpting lol
-
These little chaps have got so much character 8)
