Hot darn, I didn't figure any AT-43 figure could look better than the Therians, but I was wrong.
Your re-painted Vrachov reminds me of someone whose name eludes me, though. ???
PS; buy & paint some Therians. ;)

Stop it...stop it! *plugs ears with fingers* Lalalalalala...can't hear you! :D
Therians look really nice though...
-
There are some Therians going really cheap on eeeeBaaaay... ;D
Imagine that spoken in a haunting voice for better effect.
-
Did you use the dip or washes? :)
-
He did the dip I seem to recall. BURN THE HERETIC!!
:D

Curses...I fell for it...:D
And of course I dipped :P

very cool!

These are very well done. The reddish dudes at top are especially nice. Your painting style is very well suited to this. Thanks for sharing.

These are gorgeous models, very well (re)painted; I especially like the bases, plenty of colour. I have a few boxes from this range, instead of dipping I think I may try using a heavy Devlan mud wash and then highligt; do you think that would work?
Great stuff you should be proud of these

nice all round :-*

Is this a full repaint or just a touch-up? I have a complete Red Blok army that I've been considering repainting into something else, as I'm not totally happy with the red colour.

What a fantastic repaint job on these miniatures. They are wonderful.
-
Cool stuff! I should do something with my AT-43 minis.

STOP IT! You're tempting me!!! >:(
Very nice work for a month and a half. This looks similar to how I am painting at the moment, basecoat all the colours, wash with black, wash a few other areas with the relevant wash (only the skin usually) and highlight/layer. So damned tempting, but not enough money to start up 2 armies to get it going.

You could, for example, give said AT-43 stuff to me. :D
No? Well, was worth a shot!
STOP IT! You're tempting me!!! >:(
Do iiiit... you know you waaaant toooo...
Incidentally, can one get banned for "being a foul temptress"? ;D

Cheers! Devlan Mud could work, but I don't really like GW washes for large surfaces. The stuff really works differently from the Army Painter dip. On small surfaces you simply can't beat the Citadel washes, but on larger ones I don't like them as they tend to pool a lot. So personally I wouldn't use Devlan Mud on the bigger models, but on the smaller ones I think they'd work.

My "painting" was absurdly simple:
1) I took the basic miniatures from the box and dipped them. I started with the Army Painter dip on all of them. I used the Dark Tone (the blackish one)
2) After ~24 hours the dip is dry and has hardened well enough. I then repainted details, like:
-Eyes
-Goggle and gun lenses
-Skin
-Drybrush the black guns with grey (and then block in everything but the edges with P3 Armor Wash)
3) On the bigger models I did battle damage. I uses a piece of blister foam for this. I first dipped this in P3 Battlefield Brown and then stippled on the battle damage. Then I mixed this with Citadel Leprous Brown and then stippled on the first highlight. And finally I stippled it with pure Leprous Brown. On the Kolossus suits I used Citadel Macharite Orange as highlight.
4) Paint the top of the base green, add superglue and then add the static grass.
5) Paint the base sides with black paint.
Done!
@Fionawhite: I bought about 40 Therians on eBay...:P
