Hi everyone!
first of all i have to apologize for the abundance of acronyms in my thread title. lol
secondly, i think this is one of the really rare moments that i spent to paint, and this is the result.
the mini is from Warlord Games, it is the nobleman from the scumm reinforcement in the pike and shotte section.
hope you like, Comments & Questions are welcome.

edit: there are several damages on this minis, and the same is for the others WG i have... like little "drops" of lead around, but i'm not used to clean minis too much, so... i hink they will be irregularities on his skin! ^^"

You've managed to get a lot of really nice character into that face. I've painted him - one of their better figures from this range, and based on one of the founders of the company. It does look quite like him, although yours is better looking ;)
-
thanks a lot, capt'n!!:) you're really nice to encourage me on painting! :P
can you post the photo of your?
because i was inspired for the face, but i have no idea for the rest of the colours!!!
btw, it is a nice model, but i had to paint again the left eye, because it was totally assymetric!

Nice start indeed! :) Looking forward to it's finished state.
Is that supposed to be John? First time I see the miniature.

can you post the photo of your?

great work on the face. ;D
-
Both beautiful renditions! :-*
This guy just screams out to be a pirate or privateer captain to me!
-
Lovely work, Blood! The usual amazing use of colour!
Surely that's John! The more I look at it...
-
It's incredible how two such fine paint jobs on the same mini can yield such different looking characters. Both versions are VERY WELL DONE!
-
Yes, it's John. He is listed as 'Squire Stallard' on their website, so I think we can safely say it's a miniature rendition of one of the company's principals ;)
-
that's interesting, i've never painted a real person in my life ^^
anyway, any suggestion for the painting? (thanks for the comments! :))
-
So much personality in the face! :o
-
I think you've done a great job on the face :-* Looking forward to seeing the rest of the figure complete :)
cheers
