Title: MERCs Minis - USCR Suppression Team
Post by: Achilles on January 29, 2011, 08:38:09 PM
Well with my CCC finished, now it is on to painting the OPFor so that I can con someone into playing MERCs with me (well; I'll likely still build a table for it lol).

The USCR were assembled at the same time as my Yellowjackets. I decided to build my own bases for this team to see if they would blend with the Resin ones I used with the CCC.

USCR Assault Monkeywrench

I'm going to go back and do a very common conversion on my last USCR Model to give him a bare head (stolen from the CCC Assault model). More on that later.

I've started with my basic plan. The models are primed black and then given a basecoat with Testors OD Green spray.

The entire model is then dry brushed with 50/50 Citadel Catachan Green and Gretchin Green.

I then blocked in the weapon with Citadel Adeptus Battlegrey and the armour with Astronomicon Grey. The base is covered with a watered layer of Khemri Brown.

The whole figure is currently drying with a layer of 50/50 Citadel Leviathan Purple and Thraka Green wash. This is my 'transparent black' magic wash that I default to for dark colored models.

More to come as I complete it!
