Title: Finally some pics
Post by: syr8766 on 01 February 2011, 03:55:37 AM
Just getting some stuff up that I've painted in the last several months. Enjoy!

Steel Legion as Axis Super Soldiers, with rocket launcher and experimental ray gun

Heavy Support for the Axis Super Soldiers (old VOR walker):

Sodor Self-Defense Militia: Bolt Action/Warlord partisans

Special weapons for the SSDM: Bren, Lewis Gun, GPMG team, and grenadier with molotov cocktail. A very useful band indeed!

That VOR walker is extremly cool. I only thougt that they made crapy models. Shame on me.

Nice models.

That Sodor self-defense militia should be loaded up on a sandbagged and turreted Thomas.  Nice stuff.

I like the look of your forces, but the Steel Legion really just look Imperial Guard on round shoulder bases. Have you considered altering the weapons to look less like lasguns?

Thanks guys!

Hat Guy: yeah, I just did a paint job on 'em rather than convert, 'cause I was lazy, but you're right, they should have gotten a proper treatment.

Mancha: I'm actually looking for a 1/50-ish scale (Corgi maybe?) bus like Bertie to use as their battle wagon, but will probably convert some engine (and a few troublesome trucks) for train depot battles. I'm also debating doing a militia based on the fire brigade of Pontypaddy (you can tell who gets to watch TV with the kiddies)!

Having a bit of an issue with the void walker and that railgun? If you swopped it out for an flak gun, that would work better I reckon. Looks too modern for me.

Would be good as a Japanese mech though. (Check out White Knight's weird war project threads).

;)   I love turning kids' TV into miniatures with guns!
