I'm looking for a current-type D&D Kobold:
Something that looks like the pictures in the "Races of the Dragon" book.
https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ag/20060105a&page=1
It needs to be scaled for 28mm figures, so maybe a 15 or 20mm (or even very old 25mm) Lizardman with the right anatomy would work.
The figure also needs to be as unarmored as possible, nearly naked.
Any suggestions?

Maybe even some sort of Homonculus figure would work...?

Have you browsed the dnd miniatures yet? There are many online stores that sell them single and kobolds tend to be commons and thus dirt cheap.

I would ignore the guy with the revolver!
Most would fit in to a fantasy setting.
...and might just pull you toward some cthulhu action ;) ;) ;)

The Lance and Laser Heroquest line has a few 'dragonewts' that would make fantastic kobalds with some greenstuff for tails.

There are of course more, but they look less like the kobalds that you want.
Hope those help!

Looking for one of those wonderful kobolds are you?
I cheated for my kobold character and used a GW Lizardmen skink, still unpainted and everything. Not that the figure is really important (that's why I'm using the man-sized skink), I'm usually the only one not using a Risk piece for whenever we're doing battle. Always nice to see another non-human skittering about. :)

How about a Gila Worm, from RAFM's gorgeous Reptiliad line:

Many diff. variants to be found in the various packs.

Great suggestions, everyone. So far I think the Dragonewts will work best, but I'm still open to more if anyone has more ideas.

I have a bunch of the old Minifigs D&D line kobalds. That might be just what you are looking for. Perhaps someone has them in their old lead pile and are looking to get rid of them.

Hi,
Our small ones: (http://blackcatbases.com/bmz_cache/6/6823bd41bf9452f939506a6cc6a624dd.image.750x389.jpg)

might fit the bill? they have a spear and/or knife but these are very easy to clip off if required as they are hand held?
Jo:)

I like those guys, Jo, I like most of your work, but I think they'd be a little too difficult to make "nude". I sculpt a little, but I don't know if I'm up to re-doing full body scales.
-
Riveresco does some lizard men that are nearly nude in their old Sci-Fi range that might work. I used some along side some kolbalds as battle beast riders.
-
Does it have to like PiƱa coladas or getting caught in the rain? lol

Try match.com :D

D&D has some in the clix type ranges and fairly cheap.
