I have a few castings in mind for VSF reporters for our campaign but thought to solicit ideas from LAF members as well. I'm planning on having a few reporters along with Kaptain Kneemo's expeditionary force to report to the world powers at large Accurate action reports and such. So staying in the Victorian age, any suggestions for figures suitable to be a Reporter for a newspaper?

ALfrik, the Perry's have some colonial newspaper reporters in their Sudan range

Apprently Westwind also has a reporter in their Gothic Horror Mummy range, but there is not a good pic.

Old Glory has some in their Spanish-American War range.

Oh I LIKE these.

The sculpting doesn't compare with the Perry's, but the poses are wonderful.

Foundry have a reporter in their Old West Civilians set "OW111 - Town Traders".

Bicorne do some too

much better in the flesh (so to speak) as can be attested by the ones Malamute did a while back

Here's one of Bicorne Miniatures figures painted as Archilbald Harris-Hampton, Illustrated London News.

From the OG reporters pack listed above:
Stanley Still, photographer, Illustrated London News:

Bicorne also do a photographer as do Dixon Miniatures. There are a couple of reporters in the new Foundry Zulu Wars range too.
I have assembled quite a diverse group of reporters and photographers for our VSF games. I'll try and post a photograph of the whole group and the weekend of the other figures.

Actually, I rather would have fancied them just in the catalog images. After seeing many catalog piccies that have torpedoed my interest, I was pleasantly surprised by these.
However, the coolness multiplies greatly after the addition of Malamute's paints!
The range of reporters, who, after all, could be engineers with notebooks, or artists with easel, or portrait photographer, astounds me.
I have mentioned that's a daily occurrence for me on this forum. :D
Thanks again, Prof. ;->=

I'd forgotten about these! They look lovely painted so I'd definitely like to see that pic :D

I love the Perry ones! Isn't that Melton Pryor on the right?

Another photographer is in Old Glory's pack LAT-10 Explorers Missionaries Renegades and Constables

[the subject of his portrait is also an interesting figure!]

That looks like an interesting set. I wish they'd either paint or at least black-wash their figures though. It's hard to make out the detail and sometimes you never know with OG :?

I was just thinking that. It would make life easier. I'm digging the Bicorne minis though. I wasn't overly familiar with them.

They are very good. Maybe not quite to Copplestone or Perry standard, but still lovely. I've seen most of them at UK shows and they are very nice castings at close quarters. Good price too!
Wish I'd bought them when I had the cash >:(

Found this picture from the last engagement on Atlantis:
Archibald Harris-Hampton, Illustrated London News (Bicorne Miniatures) interviews Professor Ebenezer Von Stypher-Dyke, University of Vienna (Westwind Models) about his findings for the Royal Geographical Society whilst on a recent survey to Atlantis.
He is photographed on the right by Harry "Flash Bang" Whalop ILN (Dixon Miniatures) and Arthur "Box" Browne ILN in the foreground (Bicorne Miniatures)

I'll photograph some more of the intrepid reporters at the weekend.

I still have to paint my trio of Perry reporters, so I don't really need these, but I need to have them..... if you get my drift lol
And that's a lovely shade of green on the rivetted contraption in the background 8)
