But I would really need something like 40 to be satisfied, which in the end would cost more than the models used for the diorama itself lol

I was thinking of doing my own gabions from scratch and your tutorial shows it's possible!

Cost was an overriding issue when I decided to research and build them. Initially I only made fifteen and then made a mold. Total cost including silicone about fifty dollars (US). Dental plaster was another thirty for fifty pounds. It was well worth the expense, because I would have spent about a hundred dollars (US) more if I had ordered someone else cast. I still have the mold and about sixty gabions cast up on the shelf. I am doing a Wattle tutorial next as I have finished the master and am preparing it for molding.

Those can be used for several gaming periods and even different genres, as they could very easily find their way to some fantasy barricades.
