I`m taking the train today I think lol

Scariest bus stop ever!
Two good entries, but Northstar wins for me
-
Oooh, a nice entry from my fellow painter. Really like the guy stretching his back after lifting too much!
Nice paintjob, this is gonna be pretty close I guess, best of luck to you. :)
-
Thanks.... and best of luck to you too! :D

Are you scultping your entries again yourself this year SI?

For some later rounds I'll be putting up sculpts though these are conversions of Perry and one Eureka...... longer coats plus added tricorns, shoes where they didn't have them, that sort of thing. There's an unpainted image at the bottom of the page here..... http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=23625.0 :)

That is even more admirable! Not only getting to paint but also (even if partially) sculpting your models...
Peoples have gone utterly crazy! (in a good way that is... :D)
o_o ;D

You, sir, are a gentleman of the finest order! :)

It has nothing to do with the LPL but for that little extra craziness I'll reveal that the foreman in the burgundy waistcoat has been converted and painted with a 1/1 outfit that I am in the throes of making for myself (gawd knows why, the urge just took me o_o). The breeches are finished and can be seen here .... http://silent-invasion.blogspot.com/2010/11/18thc-apparel-accoutrements-breeches.html :D

@ Silent invader
You should change your profile from slightly insane to insanely genius ;)
Great stuff you're doing!

Agreed!

Tough choices but I think the shading and blending on the work gang is that tiny bit better.
-
VERY COOL MINIS...having to choose between the two is not cool at all.
-
really tough Choice o_o both Entries are great,i like the smooth Paintjob on the "whistle while Work" a bit better :)
-
Great matchup here. Lots to like about both entries.
-
This is a very even match-up as far as painting quality goes. I have to base my vote on my totally subjective theme preference again. Great work, in both cases.
Looking at these entries again, I have to add that normally I'd be turned off by shadows in the picture. In this case, however, they're kind of effective, in that the monster is casting a great shadow. And, uh oh, what's the huge shadow on the far right? :D
-
I'm not a big fan of shadows either as they draw away attention from te miniatures but is was saturday morning
and I had only a couple of hours left to send in my entry and it didn't look like the sun was planning on shining less
any time soon so I had to make the best of it!
The smaller shadow is really looming menacly towards the peoples at the busstop while the big shadow looks like the gaping maw
from something yet to come!
Admitting there was some luck involved trying from different angles!
-
I like your variation on the bus stop. I need to work on my photo skills - your shadows added a nice touch to the scene.
-
2 lovely sets, really difficult to separate
-
a real thriller now.
91 vs 91
tough choice either way
-
Tricky this,I like the ambience in SI's,tho' Northstars has a CoC feel I like......blast 18th century for me ;)
-
Silent Invader, great work on the conversions and paint jobs. I can't tell which are converted and which are not. ;D
-
My goodness, this looks like it'll be neck and neck all week! (justifiably so)
Both very impressive entries, so I'm going to have to go with my gut...sorry 18th century!
-
Shockingly close, but Northstar just edges it :)
-
Very well done to you Northstar.... it's been nail-biting for me but a most enjoyable contest! :D
-
Thanks very much SI!!!
It was very tense indeed...every time I checked there was a different leader. o_o
Not say I'm not glad to win but a draw would have been very fitting here!
Nice to have competed with you, good luck on your next match-up!
