Them Nurgle marines aren't bad but the bases should be taken care of. Apart from that they are just fine.

I don't understand how multiple figures on a single base works from a gaming perspective, but, boy, it looks good.

Contrary to a lot of people I like seeing a bit of warhammer here and there and this is no exception. Nice job on the plague marines though I think they can be improved if a bit more care was taken with the details like taking extra care of some mould lines and finishing the bases. The pilgrims really look the part: dirty, worn and tired, an excellent entry!

Actually, it does work, you just have to swap the occasional model when casualties start mounting, but overall it is handy for reformations and line up, especially when using for example pikemen

Yes, most of my figures are now multi-based with just the odd single based figure mixed in. It saves time when movement trays aren't an option and allows for the odd more interesting base with casualties etc.

All will be even clearer next week when team Boucicault make their appearance...

Yes, they are round, but so are my multi figure 20mm WW2 and 28mm WW1 bases.

I think that you only need square/rectangular bases when determining flanks etc. are important - these pilgrims would be in trouble if they got charged from any direction  :o

So need milk required  ;)

Those nurgle chaps are perfectly nice, but the lack of detail and highlighting means my vote goes to those pilgrims - they also look more finished, the marines are pratically unbased.

So as to balance, the marines do look suitably 'icky', and I do rather like them (despite my instant reaction against GW) :P

Thanks to everyone who commented on my Plague Marines, it's nice to get good comments for the painting.  As for the basing, I would have improved it but I ran out of time before the competition started.

The Pilgrims however are much better and deserve to win (I put my vote in for them) so congratulations to Janner.
