I find the secon entry here very touching. However, it's almost impossible to get the same amount of detail as a 28 mm miniature on a 15 mm miniature. And in this specific case the 28's have a lot of lovely details.

I like the 15mm subject but I would have wanted to see a bit more shading or highlights to make the details pop better.

I think (sometimes) that both sets of minis are FINELY DONE examples of just how WONDERFUL the Little Folk can look. The larger figures have a certain advantage in what can be achieved...also, with the failings of my old eyes, what can be seen.

Two very nice entries. The first shows excellent painting in an unfortunately largely out of focus picture, only two models are sharp which is a real shame as they look very interesting. The second entry really carries with it the weight and sadness of the refugees, and I think that is quite an achievement for such tiny models.

The painting on the goblins is amazing, but the theme and feeling on the refugees is great.  This was a tough decision.

Really difficult on this one - I love the goblins and think the detail on them is excellent. The refugees are exceptional as well - very difficult to compete with 15mm figures but these are great work.

It looks like the competition is going to be a tough one this year!

The goblins are fantastic, but as somewhat of a fancier of small scale models, I feel I should champion the underdog! An inventive fulfillment of the bonus theme swung my vote here.
