Anyone have an idea of what models could be used for these two?
I'm mainly looking for a "LeChucks revenge" look on both Gubrush and LeChuck.
Did a google search and came up with nothing :?
I had this idea for a small diorama over a year ago and came to think about it today again.
For those not familiar with the excellent Monkey Island series (even though the first 3 games were the best) here's a picture of Guybrush Threepwood and the Zombie Pirate captain LeChuck.

Black Scorpion do a great Orc Pirate Admiral that looks like the 2nd guy
-
Almost, too bad about the "orc" posture with the hunchback and bowlegged stance. The face could always be resculpted with green stuff..
-
I have always seen Pretty Boy Dave from Crusader Miniatures' Wild Rovers (http://www.crusaderminiatures.com/prod.php?prod=65&cat=3&sub=7&page=1) as somewhat reminiscent of good old Guybrush from the first game - for the second game's one, maybe a bit of Green Stuff for hair and coat?
-
Here's a possible for Guybrush

the original version didn't have a hat or gun either which would be closer to Guybrush.

Yes! Thanks, I'll probably buy that model and do a headswap or remodel it so it has more of a Guybrush hairstyle and goate :D
The pose with the sword is pefect, will go with some "insult swordfighting" lol
-
actually i've never seen guybrush with an angry face... and the only duels he did was with insults! :)
-
No but he has a few "in pain" facial expressions, especially in part two during the LeChuck showdown with voodoo dolls at the end lol
I even found a perfect "Kate Capsize" stand in on the Reaper page browsing their pirates again, even a few monkeys. Possible Herman Toothrot as well.
What makes LeChuch is a large upper body, barrel-chested from part 3 onwards and in the special edition games - which is a very fun and cartoony look. Hard to come by in any regular pirate range. I saw one or two models on Reaper and oldglory (I think) that had some attributes but would still need a lot of green stuff converting.
A GW orc head would probably be the best for LeChuck, add some greenstuff beard and fix the teeth.
If I had the time I would totaly do a whole cast of Monkey Island characters as a side project, like the vegetarian cannibals from game 1 and 3, Stan the salesman, Largo Lagrande etc :D

Hey Anatoli,
As far as the cannibals are concerned, Reaper does these guys:

You even get a giant head! Also, second one from the left is clearly inspired by Lemonhead.

Haha those are awesome, thanks for the link Sir Dryden :)

Let apart the spitting duel... lol
Lots of funny memories...

Got a link for those Sir Dryden? the Reaper site is a mess and I can't find a thing.
Great find!

Sorry for the missing link, I guess I should've thought about it on my first post ::)

The price seems allright considering you get that huge chunk of scenery with the actual models. I've always thought that Reaper were good at producing "non-(insert copyright)" models, nice to see it's not restricted to movies. Monkey Island was the best (aside, of course, from Maniac Mansion, which is in a league of its own...)

The memories, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the last crusade, Monkey island series, Simon the sorcerer, Sam and Max, Grim Fandango. Golden age of point and click adventure that is no more. The episodic games of Sam and Max and Monkey Island just aren't the same :?

A bit out of topic, but anyway...
If you miss the old point-and-clicks, check out the AGS website. Free games, some of them actually quite good. Hours of fun for nostalgics.

I have most of them on original CD, in some cases I had to use the SCUMM emulator thingy to work with newer operating systems though and to get the sound working properly :)
Anyway still looking for a fitting LeChuck - or a model looking close enough to be converted with some ease.
-
mmm I think that the miniatures with the most similar style are from Ron and Bones, who knows, maybe they could sculpt a lechuck in the future! :)

I posting there frequently too. :)
And I'd like to add: Not only for nostalgics! ;)
Sorry now back on topic.
