For guys in the UK - check your local newsagents - there is a new partwork - Batman Automobilia. The first issue has a diecast 1/43 model of Michael Keaton's Batmobile (still one of the cooliest designs). Sorry, no pics yet - but it appears to fit well with 28mm and would probably be a near perfect match for heroclix.
It's the first issue so it is going for £2.99 - seriously a must have.
They are also going to be doing the classic series car, the latest movie incarnation, and a new batflyer. Of course, the regular price is £7.99 and it isn't clear what comes after issue 4.

Who's the publisher? Some of those we'll get down here if we're lucky.
-
It's published by Eaglemoss, although it doesn't seem to be on their website. I believe they do some stuff in Australia.

Interesting.
Anyone make Batman and friends/enemies figures in metal 28mm?
-
TSR made a few in the 80s. They were not very good. More on the 25mm side. They were part of a set with many different characters. I know there is a miniatures archive site out there with pictures of them, I just can't seem to find it at the moment.

Ther was a Justice league set with Batman, Superman, Hawkman & Green Lantern along with Villans The Joker & Brainiac and maybe another, I can't remember, but i thought it was from Grenadier all 25ish mil. :D

OK. Next logical question. Anyone in Blighty interested in helping out a yank bastard? I'm on paypal.
-
I think you are correct. Grenadier made the Watchmen set for the DC role playing game. I assume they made the Justice League ones too. Marvel was probably the same. Here is some info on the Watchmen set an a few pictures if it helps.

Thanks for the info.
For me interest in the car is not high if there are no decent metal figures to go with them. (And I couldn't find the mag in any local newsagents.)
Thinking about it, seems quite odd that no one has produced good metal 28mm Batman figures. ::)
-
I imagine to get the rights to make one it would be pretty expensive without a game tied to it. Here's a few links to the Grenadier one and a few others.

There was also a Legion, Teen Titans, and Outsiders set.

Is this the same size as the Ertll one that came out back in 89?
They also did a kinda dull square-ish Joker van
Wasn't there also a company ( i just checked ,it was CORGI) that made what seemed to be every possible Bat mobile as a diecast a couple of years back. I remember they had 'Robin's' car which made an excellent scifi grav vehicle. and a great 1940's style bat roadster.
Maybe they're using the same models

@ Orctrader - do the figures have to be metal? Though plastic, some of the Heroclix ones are quite good:-

I think I may have one of this sculpt if you want one to try?
