Hey guys...I just wanted to post a couple of decent pictures of my 1st Round entry from the LPL...the ones that competed were taken in a hurry at the last minute and didn't really do the sculpts justice....so here are some better ones!

BTW...thanks to all that voted for my entry!

That is a VERY NICELY painted & base grouping of Vertically Challenged Guys. Any votes that they garnered were most richly deserved.

Very nice indeed - glad I wasn't up against them!
What colour and length of static grass do you use for the longer tufts out of interest?

I voted for these guys, I really like relaxing/drinking dwarf scenes. Great paint jobs and the bases look great too btw.

thanks all...there where certainly be more dwarfy goodness coming in the near future!

Well...I started getting into the tufts by purchasing some from Army Painter....then learned that you could get much bigger packs at a better price from Silflor...AP repacks their product and jacks up the price... :-[ So I've recently ordered a couple of the big packs from Scenic Express here in the States...To make things confusing the tufts have different names in Europe than they do here.... o_o But I think I have figured it out.
On this base there are two colors of tufts...all 6mm length.
Greener tufts=AP Swamp Tuft=Late Summer Buffalo Grass (US)=two-colour Early Autumn tuft (EU)
Browner tuft=AP Highland Tuft=Autumn Tone Buffalo Grass (US)=two-colour Late Autumn tuft (EU)
I hope that makes sense!

Very nice pictures, these show the models much better than the LPL entry. I like the mushrooms on the Booze Brothers 8)
