See www.bucksurdu.com/blog for a sneak preview of the cover art for The GASLIGHT Compendium. More to come in the next couple of weeks.

There are a lot of us looking forward to the release of the compendium. Its nice to know things are progressing.
Oh, and welcome to the forum Buck.

Nice model ;)

Damn beautiful for a preliminary!
I can only echo Bullshot's anticipation with my own.
And, of course, the welcome to the forum! Truly, a welcome place for a worthy lead adventurer such as yourself.

PS Do I get any credit for directing your attention here? I can't imagine I was the first.

When we got the first sketch from the artist, I sent him a stream-of-conciousness Email with some ideas we would like to see added. Years ago I bought some ostriches from London War Room and later found some great lancer figures. When I asked him if he could put them into the painting, I was very pleasantly surprised to see them show up in the next iteration of the cover. I am WAY excited to get them on the table now. Look for them at Historicon in July.
There's also a nice picture of them fighting some cossacks inside the book.

The book went to the printer yesterday. We're supposed to get a proof in a week or so. We're looking at a 1 June release date for the .pdf and a release date or the hard-cover book a couple weeks later.

Will you have a US distributor?

I know we have old stock on the shelf. I'm only peripherally involved in the ordering, but I thought we had to order direct. Buck?

The rules will be available in the US through Amazon.com (which will have them for a higher price than elsewhere), Old Glory, On Military Matters, and probably Brigade Games. The pdf version, available 1 June (see www.bucksurdu.com/blog) will be available through RPGNow.
I think there are other distributers in the US as well, but I'll need to ask the publisher.

Good news, I've bought lots of stuff from RPGNow/WargameVault and never had a problem :D
