Both good entries,Lord Dunsany is a favourite of mine and the paint job is spot on,but then Ariadna is cool too....
-
Tough match up: both are based with identical purple Silflor flowers! lol
-
both top entries, the colours on the elves in particular are a fantastic choice.
-
Both are very good but I agree with earlier comments and think the Elves are just fantastic, very well done.

yes, I noticed that as well- Similar color palettes too! lol

Who makes the Ariadna models? There's a couple really interesting models in there.
Excellent work on the elves. I'm somewhat surprised they are not of the 'dark' variety Heldrak ;)

Looks like Infinity to me.

Good call. ;)
My original intention was to do them in a more traditional Dark Elfy black and red color scheme, but then I was afraid that they would just look like Vampires, so I went in a different direction.

Very tough choice! I think I might have to go with Ariadna since they're my second favourite faction in Infinity. :)

They are indeed from the Infinity range of Corvus Belli. I was thinking the same thing when I saw them at first. Especially Ariadna models (and Haqqislam as well) are really useable for any near future setting 8)
Heldrak, your elves look really good! The combination of colours is great.

Right. That's it. I'm going to have to pick up some Silflor flowers at Salute. Everybody's doing it!
Who would have thought wargames figures would end up looking so pansy with de rigeur floral arrangements... ;)
(Actually, they look blinking good... :))

Mine are actually Green Line GL-042 Blumen Violett from a German company called Fredericus-Rex, not Siliflor, but same difference... ;)

Thank you, Raz. I like your entry too. ;)
I actually took my inspiration from this illustration by Brian Froud:

I believe Raz' flowers are from Mininatur, sold by Battlefield Berlin, perhaps a bit closer to home than Salute 8)
Both entries are really good and the painting is great on both. Eventually I decided to choose the Ariadna because I really fancy the scenery setting and the choice of models 8)

I do really love the colour of the skin of the elves :-*
great painting !
-
Thanks, Tsar. :)
The skin was very finnicky to do (it probably took more time than the rest of the work on the figures combined) but I was pleased with the end result.
-
Those elves! Look at the colours! Two fantastic entries, but I had to go with the smooth shading and highlighting on the elves - but how close are some of these match-ups? Fantastic entries, both of these.

The hat of Van Zant tipped the vote for me :]
