Hey inkwell, awesome paint job on a really nice mini, really like the tats, the base, the gold(shins) and the hair. Post more pics, I want to see the back as well.
Great stuff

That's a great idea! It is a rather versatile figure, isn't it? You've done a great job on the conversion, well done!
-
Very nice paintjob! Can't say anything about the conversion work as I don't know the original mini.
-
The original can be seen down the bottom of the first post here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=10500.0

(http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/018-5.jpg)(http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/021-4.jpg) Here are some diffrent angles.I simply left the tab on and built up rocks around it out of green stuff.I was looking for something to enhance his "Norseness" and thats how the tatts came about.I'm building my ultimate norse band for Mordheim so I've got more to do.Thanks for the kind words! amazing! :-* :-* I didn' t really like this mini before this wonderful conversion and paintjob
mordheim norse warband?! DELICIOUS :P lookin forward to see the next hero! keep em coming :-*
-
Excellent work, you have given him an especially barbaric look! :-*
-
I think the beard you gave him is the very special touch! I'd really like to be able to sculpt such a perfect beard...
-
Yes, the beard is fantastic and matches the original hair's texture. The axe fits in perfectly too and I'd have thought both were part of the orignal sculpt. Along with the painting and base-work it all makes for an excellent figure 8)

Well thanks for all he kind words. His beard did come out ace and wasn't that difficult.Beard first, then mustasche ,gave it a wind blown look to match his hair .I 'll post some more of my Norse as completed :)
-
FANTASTIC...the beard & tattoos really make the mini: the GREAT paint job & basing don't hurt either. VERY WELL DONE!

I was looking for something to enhance his "Norseness"...
You should have chosen a wool sweater! ;D
PS: Ace Painting Job! :)
