Turn 4: while the Mutineer cavalry continues to flee, the 16th Lancers smash into the infantry in the centre and destroy the first unit they contact ~

The Badmash are held off by the HEIC forces, even though the Raja of Rhanli's horse defeat the 2nd Punjab Irregular Cavalry ~

Turn 7: the Mutineer centre begins to crumble ~

Turn 8: The Mutineers flee, despite some late success on their left flank ~

Played out by Jon and myself over two hours. The rules flowed pretty well, but threw up a few areas which will need finer tuning to improve the overall performance and feel of the game. Hope you enjoyed following our game.

Great looking game and some sharp photographs. An inspiration to make more effort with mine.
I think your elephant looks fantastic. Super colour and it makes a fine looking centre piece.
Thanks for sharing

I say DB they look rather grand all out on display.

Have no fear for even now the great warrior Diljar Robinson Singh is on his way with more forces to retake Byklabad and put the ferengi to the sword (well thats the plan).

Given my 2011 game record to date I'd say that's a foregone conclusion really... :'(

What an awesome looking game - lovely miniatures and terrain.

I like the scheme for the Raja of Rhanli's horse - very becoming.

Thanks for the encouragement, its nice that some people take a moment to comment while others just 'pass through' in the night. The Second Battle of Byklabad is scheduled for Wednesday week, I have sorted out the rule changes and reworked the Playsheet ready for the game. At the moment I'm finishing off a Mutineer infantry unit to give them more of a numerical edge.

David
just a thought, but historically formed mutineer regiments could often put up a stiff fight, especially if in defence. It is was more often the other troops, such as the badmashes, private armies and rabble units that broke first. What about giving mutineer (ex EIC sepoys) units a slightly better morale, and adding more dross as cannon fodder to preserve the sepoys a bit longer. Not only that, but with some of the better leaders they were occasionally more resolute in the field. Still as I said on WD3, super looking game, and I look forward to more.

Trooper, Thanks for the thoughts on rules for 'Pluck' for the Sepoy army. Unfortunately, little saves my troops from my inability to roll decent dice at the moment! At Salute yesterday I bought some new dice for the Indian Mutiny games with an elephant out line replacing the '1'; I hope they will bring me some much needed luck! ;)

Ah well there you have it, the dice...we are all their tender mercy in the end.
