Post by: dijit on April 04, 2011, 03:56:37 PM: Lovely painting Heldrak, but I have to confess by being disappointed by the close ups of the faces. The scuplting makes them look more masculine than feminine and it goes as a credit to your painting that I didn't notice it until I saw the close ups.
Looking forwards to seeing more of your stuff in LPL.

As Captain Blood says, it can be problematic to find a gaming use for them. They're very large in scale, so they don't fit in with Elf figures from other manufacturers and they are pretty unique stylistically. I've always really liked them as they strike that balance between elegant and sinister that I think that Elves should have.

Like Heldrak says, it's annoying that they're out-sized sculpts. Having painted mine up last year I bought a pile of 'regular' Foundry elves from eBay and they don't fit together!! :-[

Still lovely figures to have, even if you can't do much with them. ;)

Thanks, Tony. If you did the concept art for them, any chance you could post it here? (or would that be some kind of legal thing with Foundry?).

Post by: shadowking1957 on April 05, 2011, 04:23:54 PM: long time ago I left all my concepts at Foundry as i was paid for doing them (my art work and my property as such but I they paid for my time and ideas), Glad to see people still liked them, along with the nymphs i think are some of my best work of the time.. (there was a huge amount never used sadly, )

The only art i have are some for another section in the races..and stores.
