Now that LPLV round 3 is well and truly over, I thought that people might like to see some individual pictures of my Foundry Elven Revenants:

Mayalari, Man's Last Temptation

Alatha, Slain in Darkness

Eluthne, Born to Shadows

I have a full set of these, so the rest of them may appear at some point... ;)

Lovely painting Heldrak, but I have to confess by being disappointed by the close ups of the faces. The scuplting makes them look more masculine than feminine and it goes as a credit to your painting that I didn't notice it until I saw the close ups.
Looking forwards to seeing more of your stuff in LPL.

Always loved these figures.
No earthly (or unearthly) use for them, but very cool.
Nice work Michael.

Like these a lot, the beige and greens work really well together, lots of detail on the minis. Really like the bases as well.
Great stuff

A great set of sculpts. I painted mine in the 'traditional Black and Reds. These look fantastic.

Thanks, gang. :)
As Captain Blood says, it can be problematic to find a gaming use for them. They're very large in scale, so they don't fit in with Elf figures from other manufacturers and they are pretty unique stylistically. I've always really liked them as they strike that balance between elegant and sinister that I think that Elves should have.

Good stuff, with a nice restrained palate.
Is it just me, or has Alatha strayed from the cover of the Pixies' Surfer Rosa?
-
VERY WELL DONE! Your color choices cast a sinister aspect upon the Crew...GREAT STUFF!
-
Yep great cool (both senses of the word) colour choices! 8)

Excellent painting on all the figures. dijit is right, those elf chicks are double baggers!
-
I don't have a problem with the faces on the female Elf figures, but I did think that they had frighteningly large "man" hands... :o
-
Superb stuff. I have a handful of these minis, and they're a joy to paint. Your colour scheme is wonderful.
Like Heldrak says, it's annoying that they're out-sized sculpts. Having painted mine up last year I bought a pile of 'regular' Foundry elves from eBay and they don't fit together!! :-[
Still lovely figures to have, even if you can't do much with them. ;)

Love the colour combo you have used, the green is very nice :-*

Thanks, Tony. If you did the concept art for them, any chance you could post it here? (or would that be some kind of legal thing with Foundry?).

long time ago I left all my concepts at Foundry as i was paid for doing them (my art work and my property as such but I they paid for my time and ideas), Glad to see people still liked them, along with the nymphs i think are some of my best work of the time.. (there was a huge amount never used sadly, )
The only art i have are some for another section in the races..and stores.

Thanks, Tony. It is very interesting to see the original concepts in relation to the finished models.
As noted in the LPL thread, I used this illustration by the great Brian Froud as a cue for the color scheme I used for my revenants:

Wonderful paintjobs and a great choice of colors. The figure sculpts are a bit bad though.
