Does anybody know a good source for figures suitable for 19th century police officers?
Not looking for your typical Old West lawmen and something other than British bobbies would be prefered.
Anything like that out there or anythign that can be "morphed" into them?

There's these from TVAG (bottom half of the page):

Those look cool. I like the hats on the metro police, but wouldl ike to find some in shorters coats.
I wonder if there are some army officers from one period or another that might be pressed into service with putty badges?

What sort of headwear would you prefer?

A lower cap either like the pillbox hats you see on train conductors or some of the soft caps you see the sailors and ships' crew of the time wearing.
What I'm looking to do is to add a bit of quikiness to my Old West town by giving them uniformed police rather than the standard gunman with a tin star. Call it a bit of eastern class that the town's bigwigs have come up with to give the township a sense of propriety.

Westwind has "East European Politzei" - maybe not quite what you're looking for.
