I'm afraid these are not the 'top ten' matches yet - still all on the luck of the draw at this stage...
It's pure destiny that one or two of the league leaders have drawn each other in this round.
From Round 7 onwards, the leaders start to fight it out in earnest :)

To be honest I suspected you started with that around round 1. I think I have been matched with very good painters throughout.

:o :o WOW those Vikings are AWESOME!...but the detail on the French are amazing too....very tough call on this one!

Two great entries here, but I have to go with Sven's band - the shading and crispness of the painting are superb! Those minis ooze character as well - what range are they from? (Sorry, Chambers, I think I asked you the same thing about one of your earlier entries, a Dwarf band).

Great PJ Regulator!
Hawkeye, the minis are Redbox, just like the dwarves in an earlier round.

There are a lot of very good matches in this round! This is one of them. This adventures are beautiful and I like the idea of these unusul bases. 8)

It's revenge for that Elvis entry of yours way back when... lol

It did do pretty well, as I recall.
This LPL is tougher, IMO. More entries and people have really honed their skills. Many first time competitors come in at a high level.

Thank you, Chambersofminatures - they had the "look" of those dwarves, so I had a feeling it might be the same range. As regards recognizing things, when I'm looking at LPL entries, I always try not to look at the names of the entrants, just at the pictures, but I always recognize your paint jobs! Am I right in thinking that the models in one of the display cases Tabletop Games in Kansas City are yours?

Aw hell....secret is out...did Phil squeal?

I do have quite a few miniatures displayed at Table Top, mostly Reaper and pulp style miniatures. Expect to see most of the LPL miniatures after the competition.
Phil prefers to have currently available miniatures displayed at the shop, because they get tired of saying some miniatures are OOP or can not be obtained through the shop.
Thanks Hawkey for noticing...good eye... :D

I thought so. There's something in the shading that I always recognize - plus, you usually put a lot of thought and time into your bases. The viking bases are a case in point - very, very nice. I look forward to checking out the display cabinet the next time I'm up Kansas City way! Maybe I'll see these LPL models "in the flesh" - that would be fun.
