Very Nice looking buildings. What are they made from?
-
Pretty amazing 8)
What scale is it for? 20mm? 28mm?
-
It is made out of 2 mm cardboard
It is for 28 mm
-
Great job! Congratulations!
-
That's a LOT of buildings! Well done!
-
I dont know if the title (My first small town) is accurate lol lol
-
wow! can you give us a closer look on some buildings? :)
-
Very nice!
-
Wow! Very impressive, 'small' really isn't the word!
-
That is a serious amount of windows :o
That must of taken a long time to cut out?
Looking great :-*
-
Wow, that's quite a village. Actually I think I'd qite like to holiday there.
-
There is close look to some of them (part 1)
Actually it took really much time because i made facades and the back of the buildings from 2 mm cardboard, which is difficult to cut.

The base is made from MDF, floor and sides - from the foam card, the roof - from textured cardboard, decoration of facades - from thin cardboard

Wow! Small town - more like small city!
-
Amazing stuff! :o :o :o
-
Fantastic buildings.
What did you make the pantiles out of?
-
Really great. Painting and architecture reminds me of Herges Tin Tin comic books. So I would use the intact buildings for Tin Tin adventures.
Cheers
Björn

Excellent buildings....Well done

Great!! :-* :-*
And large!! ;)
Do you plan to add windows?
How long did you take to build it?
Marco
-
Thank you, all.
I made pantile from corrugated paper, bought in shops for painters. Cut them to pieces of 75mm width and pasted
A shale tiles made of skin folders, which are usually sold in stationery stores, they have little textured.

Regarding windows i'm not sure, but to my mind it's better for playing - without windows. Obviously, windows would make the look of houses better, but I couldn't think of how to do it (so that is fast)

if you like, i'm casting them for my buildings, and i think they should work really well with your pieces!
i can sell you a mould, much cheaper for you, leaving to you the casting part, if you like!
here are some example of the old piece... if you like i can give you this, or now i'm making a much flatter one, better for more realistic pieces!

That is an amazing set of buildings, love the look of them! Clean and simple; I especially like the look of the corrugated cardboard for tiles - will have to check our local art supply places for similar card in the painter's supply sections.

It took approximately 1,5 years, because cardboard is hard to cut (for me). At fist i made a little bit different houses and broke them at least. There are only two survived :), the rest were remade or broken.

Jack,
are you windows modular?
That is: external frame, internal frame, and top?
Very interesting!
You MUST give me the dimensions, so I'll use them in my future buildings!! :D

hei!
windows are modular, and the sizes... i really don't know!
anyway i'm resculpting them in this days, i'll open a proper thread! :)
but Wiking you really should cast good quality windows for the holes... it can make the overall quality even better!
