Both have the highest standard qualities!
I like both themes very much so that doesn't help me either...
Well nothing left to close my eyes and click away!

I am silly for asking but I was scratching my head whether too have it in the title or get it into the image some other way. one of the bolted on boiler plate shutters had to be open and it happened to cover most of the banner.

Tough choice. Both are great entries. Although I like the VBCW entry very much, the fishbowlidea is so out of the box and an excellent idea, it won me over :) Great job, guys!

I believe there were two sequels as well. Great entry Hammers, very impressive with all of your usual creative details.
Incidently, my first shot is actually shot through a fishbowl. It's sort of hard to tell since I was able to angle the lighting so that there was no obvious glare. You can make out the base of the fishbowl near the bottom. :D ;D

Well, the concept dates back to a series by Ronald Searle. The earliest is from 1942. The whole series is known for their emblematic illustrations. There was a series of b/w films based on these and then very much tarted up versions released just within the last few years.
My design for this mansion (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=25019.0) is very much inspired by the real school of St Trinians in Edinburgh. The initial inspiration for doing this building was to play St Trinian's scenarios with these little sweethearts.

Now that's the kind of background story and research that makes me love LAF. Thanks for sharing those extra details; I had no idea beyond the 'very much tarted up versions' as you so eloquently put it. Oh, and the Workbench thread; Hammers, you are a master. :)

I've only seen the 2007 movie and I really loved it. I'm not surprised it's based on older concepts though, as this happens for a lot of movies nowadays. I really love both entries so I'm not going to vote yet 8)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the latter films to. Rupert Everett is very funny as headmistress Fritton. I now sort of wish I had put boaters on some of the smaller girls.

I'm loving all the "top of the table" clashes thrown up by Round 6. This is perhaps the best yet! Tough call to choose between 2 excellent entries.

Bit of a nail biter this one. :) I would not have any problem what so ever being beaten by your excellent entry, DJ. Well painted, great conversion and cool presentation. I could never come up with something like that.

Thanks Hammers! I'll admit this one was a bit of a nail biter too but it has been a great match-up and there is no shame what-so-ever in losing (albeit closely ;)) to your fine work this round and this season!
