Just got in from SALUTE.
Good transport for a change, travelled up with Matakishi and a few friends. Overall I felt the standard of tables was a little down on last year, but I did take some poor photo's of a few I liked (see later).
It was good to finally meet some fellow LAF'ers, apologies to those I did not introduce myself too.
For the first time ever at SALUTE I managed to stay focused and wasn't tempted away from my current focus, Back of Beyond (I recently collected a lot of my stuff from storage hence the various threads in Bazaar of Obscurities, but amongst these was a big collection of models for BoB many painted will post pics soon). Although I was sorely tempted by Crooked Dice's 7TV rules and I may still buckle yet.
What I bought:
Copplestone BoB, more Chinese inc. Chinese Bandits and more Bolsheviks inc. Russian Sailors
Forces of Valour Russian lorry
Company B Rolls Royce armoured flat bed, from Bring and Buy
Osprey Chinese Warlords book
KR multicase 160x figure box (had to fill that free bag)
Basing snow for a friend
Heres a few of my poor photo's of the games that inspired me
Firstly and probaly my favourite an Etheopian invasian game

I've made two pilgrimages to Salute.
Your photos remind me why I must make another in the not to distant future. :)

Aye that Ethiopian game was one of my faves... but you missed the unexpected bit!
Akulas was good too, as was the VBCW table.

Nice photos, the Ethiopian game looks excellent. Judging by the fifth photo down, the '7TV' game, someone's going to be in trouble when their wife or significant other realises that her favourite toy has been expropriated for a wargames display game. ;)
-
Which, upon reflection, could have been worse. It wasn't a particpation game was it?
-
Good show. Did and bought a bit of everything. I have plenty of photos, but not a chance I'll upload anything until getting back home next week.
Now, off to do some background research and inspirational things. Reports, musings and random chat a bit later...

Thanks for the photos.
I never really get a chance to see the show. :)

Thanks for the photos - you saw a lot more of the show, than I did!
