Title: Farm Terrain
Post by: The Breaker on April 23, 2011, 12:10:53 PM
Here is a shed I built for Spinespur. It was my first attempt at a large piece so it is a little rough.

For a shed the rougher the better...great looking piece and it looks a pretty solid construction.  It reminds me of the corrugated iron sheds you see in country Australia.

Yeah, pristine sheds say "accountant living in Surrey" to me. Rough-and-ready ones say "perfect for all sorts of sf games"  lol

Great model and should be great for gaming with  8)

Thanks for the comments guys. I wanted to build it as realistic as possible to how sheds are really built. This is one part of a farm board that I want to build. I started with a smaller piece. A pigsty.

Yeah I spent a little of my youth going to the country hanging round old shearing sheds and the like and although Spinespur is an American game I wanted to inject a little bit of Aussie into my terrain. These cornfields though are pretty American.

Very cool stuff.  How about some shots with minis so we can get an idea of the scale/look.

Yes they were off the mother in laws old Christmas tree which she very graciously gave to me. I'll see if I can rustle up some shots with minis for scale and maybe some WIP shots of the other builds.

:-*  Very nice!  I've been looking at an old artificial tree I had been hanging onto, now I know what to do!!!
Some friends and I are looking at doing a Firefly campaign and the shed and pigsty look like great terrain ideas.
Keep up the incredible work!!!

Briliant I love those corn fields!

Easy and does the job.

I evacuated the spur forum some time ago because it seemed dead, but I recall seeing your stuff on there.

I'll so be copying that cornfield. Gotta find me some artificial trees.

The red vice in the background looks like some rural pumping station or the likes, btw.  :)

That's righteous....!!!! I have the game, and this is motivating me to dust it off.
