Sasquatch?
-
Sasquatch with flintlock pistols?
-
Clyde! :D
Whats the GW angle?
-
Oookay... first I thought it was Natty Bumppo in bearskin in that ridiculous scene from "The Last of the Mohicans" where he infiltrates the Huron(?) village, but your clues seem to throw that one out of the window and leave me clueless.
-
Going out on a limb here, that trained-to-steal Orangutan from that one "The Fall Guy" episode ("cause I'm the unknown stuntman, who makes Eastwood look so fine")?
I love that kind of trivia quiz, BTW. lol
EDIT: Just saw that it had been solved. My bad, only knew "Only Which Way but Lose" by the German title, so it didn't "click".
BTW excellent guess Chris..... and that was a weird scene in the book wasn't it. Laugh
Honestly, I can understand a mid-19th-century American writer trying to show the superiority of white intellect, Manifest Destiny and all, but that was ridiculous.
-
Another good guess but a source I'd overlooked.... hmm, I'd quite like a more placid version as well now. :D
It's not an orangutan you'll see in any movie or literature, et.
Svenn was right with Clyde being the major inspiration. All that's left to guess are what will be in his hands. Nothing normally associated with monkeys but two iconic elements from other Eastwood movies......
A piece of boilerplate would fit the "tinkerer" aspect of the Jokaero quite well. Cannot think of a second, though.
EDIT: if it is going to be a toy Ford Gran Torino, I will hate you for your ingenuity. lol
-
Clyde with a magnum, thats where I saw the matchlock and a great big cheroot/cigar?
-
No boilerplate but interesting guess..... and no car either! lol
More clues.
The two 'iconic Eastwood' items are one each from Dirty Harry and The Good, The Bad The Ugly.
Any ideas?
I think that the Magnum is a Q.I.-klaxon-obvious guess, but if you are going with two handguns, then it will probably be the two (Magnum and Colt 1851 Naval, I think?).
-
I was going to say a Bridge of Madison County and a Million Dollar Baby.
-
Sorry Chris but Svenn is the man! Correct on all counts.
Yep, it will be an orangutan smoking a cheroot and firing a magnum gangsta-stylee. :o
The GW connection was simply that their figure reminded me how much I like orangutans - full of character! :D
Gah, somehow I got hung up on that Jokaero thing. Looking forward to seeing it finished, and reminds me that I really should paint up my Citadel Judge Dredd Ape Gang sometime...
-
Can't wait to see this one. ;D
Right turn Clyde ;)
-
Great work, you have been a busy boy this weekend. :)
-
I like him a lot. I'm not 100% sure about his lower limbs. Not sure why, but they look slightly odd to me, but that may just be the camera angle.
I'd definitely like one though! He'd fit in a treat with my SciFi stuff :D
-
I swear I saw this guy at one of the Frothers tables at Salute.
-
Excellent stuff, I love him! :D
He'll look a treat amid your Iroquois and early American settlers... lol
-
Thanks chaps :) Yep a busy weekend. So he looks like a member of Frothers?
Thanks GM. I know what you mean about the legs but I am sure they are fine in the green. I took about 20 photos but these were the only ones I could use as they looked so weird. Because of the the stance and the flow of the longish hairs, in 2D one side always look looks thinner than the other whereas in 3D it looks more balanced. No idea yet whether I'll get him cast up but thanks for the interest. :)
I'm sure when he's painted he'll look even better. I definitely want to see how the fur turns out, as this looks very good in the green.
Did I say I want one? Oh. Yes I did lol
