I have to say Porf I think they aren`t a patch on the Christmas offer form a couple of years ago. The ghost looks very "Blue Moon" in style. Not sure what the ghost of Xmas past is looks like an ancients figure with flowers on and the Jolly gentleman (yep nicest of the buch) the crown doesnt sit very well on his head.

And....you have to buy them, they aren`t free with the deals :o

Of course this review is tinged with bittersweet as I missed the 20% deal

Must admit I am not that impressed - the Death figure is truly awful.  And what happened to Jacob Marley?

Umm, not for me. I think I will pass on these. Not sure what you would do with these.

What you do with all superflous Foundry miniatures: ram them down the muzzle of a blunderbuss and go boar hunting! BLAM! The best slugs arround. Well, not for the boar, perhaps.

Just think Malamute, Dickens and  Scrooge are Necromancers :D  raising ghosts to slaughter all the good people of London town

Now who can save them?

On Scrooge I think Foudnry did one a few years ago, sure I have one sitting somewhere, maybe a bit worse for wear as I had the kids painting them for fun :D

I already have far too many evil things slaughtering my London civilians.   They are getting very tired of all the death and destruction

Artizan did a Marley model as a promotional thingy last year.  You should give them a shout as they may still have some about.

Thanks. The Artizan figure is nice, but I must admit I would prefer one along the lines of the character played by Alec Guiness in film Scrooge:

Quite how one would go about making a figure posed like that would be a challenge.

Hmmmm... on the subject of Scrooge and Marley, I just dug this little chap out from deep under the lead mountain... I knew I had a Scrooge type somewhere...  :)

I think he came with a West Wind Sleepy Hollow 'townsfolk' pack of 8 figures, which I picked up in a bargain bin at a show last year for just 2.00 GBP!

Anyway, he's no use to me (although some of his pack-mates are now serving as civilian bait for my pirates... Harr Harr!)

So if you'd like him too, Professor, PM me your a/d and I'll pop him in the post.

I guess you're talking about this little fella

He's nice, with the candle and always holding tight his sack of money.

I think this is the worst Foundry Christmas set so far. The "past" and "future" ghosts look really poor.

Now he is nice! And I agree with your comments about the Foundry figures.
