I need a good scifi villain boss and this guy is about as good as it gets. Anyone know a Tarkin fig or proxy out there? Failing that if I can get a good Peter Cushing head, I can take care of the body and its uniform. What do you think guys anythiing available now?

West End Games Grand Moff Tarkin models are available if you hunt around.
I've got a fair few, need to work out conversion numbers needed, but pm me, I should be able to help. Although remember these are oop and true 25mm.

Any hope of one in carpet slippers (as worn by the original whenever his feet weren't in shot)? If so, pics will be a must!

They appear to be cheap and plentiful on eBay:

There was a "Not- Tarkin" in the Archive Miniatures Star Rovers line back in the 1970's. It was re-issued by MegaMiniatures a few years ago (Which is where I got mine). MegaMinis sold off the molds though, and I think it ended up here :
http://www.classicminiatures.net/ (http://www.classicminiatures.net/) You could email him about it.
It is a bigger model than the West End Games figure (actually more like a 28mm than a true 25), but pretty roughly sculpted.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, the clix Tarkin with his hands behind his back looks like he will work nicely for what I have in mind. Ordering shall commence!
