Copplestone does some fantastic back of beyond russian sailors. To date the range consists of abox of 10 sailors with rifle and a heavy machine gun.

I have used one of the commissar models as if he was a sailor to give the unit some rank.

I really like these figures and would like to add more to my army maybe even ending up with a naval force. The plea is to the fantastic Mr Copplestone to add a set of command and unusual sailor types to the range. Rather than is the norm with his packs of having 4 officers, 4 standard bearers or 4 lewis gunners, it would be great to have a mixed pack containing maybe an officer, a lewis gunner and then figures such as sub machine gunners that break up the rifles in the squad at present.


Has anyone heard of such a set on the way?, Am I the only one who would like such a set? If not what would you like to see in a set?

I'd really like to see a command set including a standard bearer and officers, together with an HMG and crew, finishing off with a gun and naval crew. If there could be a generic naval crew as well that would be the icing on the cake, as the Red naval troops often manned the armoured trains.

Why not have a look at Brigade Games´ new range "Storm in the East".
Thre are some naval troops including a command group.

The Brigade look nice I may just indulge myself in a few sailors and officers in the near future.

With regards to a heavy machine gun Copplestone already does one - I didn't include it in my photos.  I like the idea of the train an dhaving just read the article on the $20 train this seems more attainable than before.

I'd agree with Boggler about the naval gun crew and a naval command group.
I could do with a British one too.

Does Mr Copplestone read any of these posts ?

I hadn't originally thought about a gun and crew but yes it woul dbe a great idea.  Maybe theres that little something different that the navy used that could give additional character.

As for do designeers watch the web sight  - I have no idea bit for some one like Copplestone with a specialist range I would have thought that it made business sense.
