Looks good so far, but what size is it? A pic with one 28mm mini next to it would be greatly appreciated.

Eeew, and I mean that in the best way possible. lol
Also, I think I might have a go at guessing your location by the origins of its "base"

Nice and all, but this very very very similar to the Tengu miniatures one released a while ago: (http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq186/Vyperzoom/Cthulhu%20pics/Shoggothcomplete1.jpg)

Shame you couldn't have gone in a slightly different direction with this. Will work with it if production cast, but again a little too similar, (plenty of protplasmic options for a shoggoth to look different). :?

Oops First time I've seen that one, Thanks for pointing it out.
Sorry I'm not trying to step on any ones toe's :(
I'm new to sculpting and this is just for practice really, Still learning :'(
Should i still finish it or start over with a different design?

Stay with it it's looking good, if you were going to produce it though I'd give Blackstone a PM (Tengu Miniatures Iain, nice guy). Who knows, he might even take it on board as a smaller shoggy to do with his slave shogg. Either way it would be nice to give him a nod.
Cheers

Maybe extend it out with a pseudopod (kind of like it is flowing/oozing out as it extends out) rather than tenticles. That would be a very different model from anything else produced so far. Looking good. 8)

Just a small update, been busy with other sculpts :)

What you think?

I think this is a great piece. I would definitely add one of these to my gaming table. Are you going to produce them?
-
Looking good, I'd add one to the table!

Not to sure yet, I'll keep you updated :)

Done a bit more work, some removible worm like tentacles.
I'm also going to do some, mechanical ones :)

With your pock marked textures on the body of the beast the tentacles let it down to be honest mate, they also seem very thin where they join the body, (hence the bluetack correct?) you should aim to taper the diameter from slightly wider where they join the body to how you've got the tip.
Hope this helps

Yeah, Just noticed they are really thin. Made them for another project which didn't take off.
Not sure to beef them out and add some texture or just start some new ones ???
All the advice helps and is welcome :)

I think a little bit of texture would serve both purposes quite well.

Actually I quite like the thin tentacles :) Makes 'em look more active, a bit like the gnarly beasties in The Thing!
-
Yeah I must admit to have thought that on reflection, kind of a wiggly thing within a protoplasmic thing. ;)
-
Aye, all these mad, wiggly tentacles wiggling madly!
Bit like the wiggly mad tentacles in the Thing- that film put me off noddles for a while!
-
Awesome shoggy! can never have enough Shoggers! :D I agree on the wiggly squiggly tentacles, anything like The Thing (my fave film ever) is good in my eyes. I'd definitly buy 1 or 14 of these ;)

SUPERB
