Anyone got it yet?
A review would be nice
-
ordered mine 12 days ago so should be here soon :(
-
Got mine + RtB. 8)
Basically Ambush Alley on 'Roids. It is all just together in one hardcover book.
If you liked AA you like FoF, if not, FoF will also not really rock you... ;)
-
I have played very little post WW2 and thought this might be a good option if I were to start
-
From what I've seen and heard, FOF is one of those sets you either love or hate with little in between. I like them myself and will be ordering them presently along with Ambush Valley when it's out.

"when it's out" ? Isn't it already released? ???
-
No, October according to Amazon pre-order.
-
I picked up a copy in a retail store about 4-5 weeks ago so it's definetly out. Same mechanics as AA just a lot more chrome really. I quite like it, it looks like replacing RAFM's old Charlie Company as my default set of modern skirmish rules.
-
The core rulebook is out but the Ambush Valley Vietnam book won't be released until October.
Also, for those new to the game, don't get confused with the old editions. It's the new Osprey versions that you want.

Ambush Valley? Really? Then how come Amazon won't sell us it until October?
Seems like some kind of mischievous misunderstanding pixie is at work here. Would appear that the wrong end of the stick has been grasped heartily at least twice.

Exactly what I wrote and meant. 8)

Er, not really.

Not by me... the original incarnation of 'Ambush Valley' came out quite a while back... I have it. The new bright and shiny Osprey version is due October.
The original set was good imo, so I'm not going to hesitate with the new one. :)

Nor by me, the thread title is Force on Force. I bought my copy in a bricks and mortar shop over a month ago. Jim is right there is an earlier version of Ambush Valley that predates the forthcoming Osprey version. You can have the stick back now Mr Plynkes. :)
