Who played Clan War?
Who liked or disliked Clan War?
Who has Clan War miniatures?
What Samurai miniatures will serve as proxys in Clan War?
-
I haven't played the game but I guess Perry Miniatures "samurai" range would be a good proxy range! ;D

Clan War figures tend to be cheap and plentiful on eBay, so is there really much need to proxy them...?

I have been collecting the miniatures for just over a year now. Some great sculpts in the range. Some are really hard to come by and others for the forces were not released.
Not had a game yet but do hope to someday.

This range is being produced by Valiant Enterprises.

The site is a bit rough though. I've had good experiences ordering from coolminiornot's shop though:

I have the rules (never played) and some miniatures.
I really love the Bob Olley sculpted goblins (Cavalcade miniatures make a good addition to those, also by Bob) and the undead.
Some good ones in the human range too, but I would also go with Perry as substitutes if you can't find them.

I had a massive Crab clan army years ago, lovingly painted and converted, beautiful sculpts. I played in a tourney (three games) and sold off the entire army on eBay the following week- I hated playing the game that much. I should have known better, I really dislike playing 28mm rank and file games, so it might not be the fault of the rules.
Really nice figures though, I saved a few for use in other skirmish games.

@ Dr. Mathias: Nope. Not the rules. But you've got to like rank and file and homemade rules. ;D
@ White Knight: This line has some marvelous sculptings. The lost Moto are wonderful. Almost gothic in the details.
@ Number9: I sent a mail to Valiant. Never got a reply.
@ Heldrake: Not so cheap... And some units and personalities never appear.
@ Belgian: Perry Miniatures "samurai" range is good in itself. :)

if anyone uses bartertown i dealt with someone that had substantial amounts of each army and bought up the lot of at least 100 miniatures an army. He was doing around $2.50 a miniature last I recall.
