Added the pre-order offer on with the free mini-icon that should have been on there to start with!! DOH!
I can only blame it on my shoggoth addled brain :loopy:
So - 3 new releases with varying options to buy and all with the free mini-icon!
http://www.cthulhuminati.com (http://www.cthulhuminati.com)
The orders that have already been placed are correct on the order system and will include
the free items, I just forgot to add the text and the correct image to the website....... double DOH!

Sales still going well?

Sales still going well?
To be honest I don't seem to be getting any feedback to these new releases at all, comments,
PMs..... zip, nil, nadda................ have I missed something? Are these too big? Not enough tentacles?
I've got way over 500 views on Frothers forum and no comments, it's not like them to be shy ;)
All the weirder in a way as all the feedback to cast quality etc from the Living Icon is nothing but
positive. Just feel like I've done something wrong with this release but have no idea what........
I'm going to try some of the plaques painted and made into wall hangers and see how that goes :)
-
You have an order from me unless it has been lost in the void.
-
Seems strange that you don't get much feedback, specially from Frothers. I think they look great and I will definitely grab some of them when I have the funds for an order.
The Sarcophagus is the best one this far in my opinion and while the Sigil Seal of the Illuminati reminds me a bit of a pizza I really like the looks of it. lol

Yep, have the order - yours and a few others - just the general lack of feedback on the posts was
what I should have written.......... it's been very odd!
I don't think the paintjob on the Illuminati Sigil is doing it any favours....... may have to repaint
or remarket it as a Shoggoth Pepperami.......... ;)
-
The quality is great but for my taste they are too big. Also the illuminati and necronomicon seals are quite thick. Ofc thats not really an issue..
The Sarcophagus is so big that you need a big gamingboard to use it and then it's mostly suitable as a large center piece. Also the shape is little "strange". If it would be a triangle it would be more easier to embed into a wall etc.
but all and all you do a great job! Thats why I ordered the living icon in the first place.
-
Crumby, must admit to having missed these on frothers, saw the first ones but not these?
Why don't you bump the post to get it back on the radar?

I did with 3 posts but as it hit 540+ views and no feedback was appearing the self-doubt that
I had somehow gone haywire with the sculpt set in..... Frothers comment on everything, too big/small/expensive/shite...
so to get nothing was a huge worry.
I'd repost but it will end up in Frothtown for the "flog your tat" treatment :(
I've had some orders but as an artist 1st and 2nd and a business 3rd I'm more concerned with
opinions and feedback on the sculpts than anything else.

Maybe that they are lovely pieces but people only want or need a limited amount of them, are you planning on diversifying or are you sticking with scenery style stuff for the whole range?
-
And! It takes some time to spread the word about the shop and the products. Also you might want to open up an ebay store?

My sculpting skills are struggling with non-scenery stuff, I'd love to produce a large monster
for example but every time I start I scrap it so far...... I will get there eventually!
I was aiming for a whole temple set eventually but am starting to wonder, as you say people might
only need a limited amount of scenery................ will have to push myself harder on the sculpting!!

I totally understand that, I think I should have been much clearer in my original post - it's the lack of feedback on
the sculpting itself that has concerned me, especially on Frothers as they always have something to say about everything!!
As a fledgling sculptor I need the feedback to know I'm doing the right or wrong thing, do I need more detail, make it smaller, make it larger, more tentacles etc etc etc - it's the lack of feedback in that department that set me worrying :o
I think I need to push myself with creatures for sure, and as you say get onto Ebay as well.......... and probably stop worrying that people aren't commenting on the sculpting but are buying the products anyway :)

Dont beat yourself up mate!
Nothing wrong with the sculpts at all but may have a limited market?
Have you thought about getting someone else to do some minis for you then if your putty pushing skills arent up to it by your own standards?
Or how about buddying up with 4A for example to flog each others stuff for example?

Can't financially afford to pay someone else to sculpt at the moment, as much as I'd like too - Paul Muller would be top of my wants list :)
I use 4A miniatures in my photos and have him linked and Andy will be taking some of my stuff to shows with him, we also both help push Geronimo's stuff...... and Geronimo will be taking ours to a show with him in June - so yes, fantastic idea, we like to be more like a co-operative and work together for the greater good of us all.
I'm going to keep pushing myself on the sculpts, want to do better and want to be able to do figures, I think I need to push some of mystuff at the "alternative ornament" market, wall hanging plaques etc.......... thanks for the thoughts and feedback......... and good advice as I do mentally beat myself up with a constant stream of worry!! ;D

You aren't selling anything due to a Paypal error. I just tried to buy your living icon and got a 500 error on IE and a Paypal error on Firefox.
Shoot me a mail at tod @ creasey.ca when I can order from you - these look great.

The sarcophagus lid is excellent. And I'll buy one for a diorama (once I start building it, will take time).
-
I think your sculpts looks great. Perhaps a little to thick for my gaming table. I would like to see you sculpt some bases and Cthulhu markers. :)
Keep up the good work!
-
I like the sigils... they'd go well with the Strange Aeons Objective Marker fragments. How flat are your signs?

Hi spotted the post today while on lunchbreak at work - can't login though to reply.......... I can't replicate the error..... and I'm getting orders in too.......... what page did you order from = the Icon page or the store page and was it 1,2 or 3 of the item?
I know when I emailed out to all the customers of the Living Icon that I have new releases a few people on IE9 were having problems with the links and all sorts......... but not everyone - seems to be issues with a security setting.
Let me know on the above - will massively appreciate it 8)
-
Had a nice package wiating for me when I got in today. The new resin piece that I got is very big and really well done. The little extra will come in handy too.
Keep them coming steve.

Soon as I can afford it - ill definitly be making some purchases from you guys, will make awesome terrain for lovecraftian planetscapes!
-
mine arrived today, very, very lush!
not sure what i'll use the largest piece for, but the seals and the small triangular rocks will make excellent Strange Aeons scenery,

jim

I'm working on 2 panel pieces that sit under the "wings" of the pointed arms to make it an upright
temple backdrop........... the other ideas for the piece are to put sand over it and use it as an archeaological
dig site etc........

Many thanks, serious feedback indeed from someone embarking on their own game and figures!! Hope that goes well
by the way, I like the idea of the floating creatures approach 8)
If you've got ideas for terrain and want to chat on PM or email about it let me know!

Thankyou! I got your PM and will give things some good thought - I am actually quite overwhelmed by the positive responses from this site so far! Wasnt really expecting anything at all tbh. So ill have to think about all these things!
