I can't find reference books about British WWI Coastal Motor Boats (Torpedo Boats; CMBs) offering specs, performance, etc. Do any exist? I figure some British publisher must have something.
I did find --
Ship Killers: The Definitive Illustrated History of the Torpedo Boat -- Volume III, 1900 - 1939
by Joe Hinds
Anyone know anything about this book or this series?
Thanks

Had to pick WWI, didn't you. ;) I know of a couple of books on WWII coastal forces but not WWI, sorry. You might try this link, though. It's a little old but there may be something you can use.

Yep, WWI.
Just finished reading "Operation Kronstadt" (Russia 1919) by Harry Ferguson (great read!) and am interested in learning more about British CMBs.

I agree - "Operation Kronstadt" is a great book. You're getting, essentially, two stories for the price of one. There are lots of pictures of the different sized coastal motor boats inside. Well worth purchasing for your library as well as a CMB project. This book helped considerably with my project to make a 1/56 scale CMB. I'm still waiting to get it onto the gaming table though!

Thanks, Bruce. They're beautiful, but much too large for the game I'm thinking of.
