I’ve been painting Zulu War figures and have been anxious to get them into action so came up with a simple skirmish scenario that could make use of pretty much ALL the Zulu war figures I’ve painted so far.
A company of British infantry is stationed at a ford across the Thukela River. A couple days ago a squadron of Mounted infantry crossed on an extended patrol – but as they return a force of Zulus is moving to block their retreat!
A full report of the action and loads of pictures can be found on my blog:

I ran the same scenario again for a couple different guys this evening... with quite different results - nip and tuck right to the end!

Great stuff tim. Those figures really are lovely. The Renedra tents look great too. I must get mine painted!
I would have said you need lots more Zulus, but looking at the trouble they've already caused your British - maybe not lol

Great fun, and as Glutes says, lovely figures. More of these, please.
...we (or at least I) figured the Zulus would have been reluctant to disobey their king and cross into Natal…
They didn't show much reluctance to disobey this order when they went for Rorke's Drift. ;)
