The Missing Princess
Whilst frequenting a local tavern with my barbarian companion Wulfgar, we came upon a request for aid. Appaerntly some traveling Princess had went and got herself kidnapped by an Ogre named Dragtoof and his band of Orcs and other creatures. The reward was quite high, so we made haste towards the caverns rumored to be Dragtoof's lair. We also seemed to aquire extra companions, Drizzt, a dark elf ranger, who seems to be as much a deviant as the rest of his kind. Tregar a human wizard...Im glad Dwarves are free of the taint of magic. And finally Lady Tiriel, a paladin, who Wulfgar has been trying to get in his bed roll for the past three days...

We entered the cavern complex carefully, eventually coming upon a door, upon opening it, we were beset by a pair of Goblin sentrys, thier shrill squeaks, though quickly cut off alerted thier larger brethren.

Eventually, once Wulfgar and I had fought our way through the caverns now slick with Orc blood, we stormed into a chamber to find our prize, the kidnapped Princess Himiko, as usual when presented with a female of any kind Wulfgar became rather obsessed with getting her in his bed roll..the blunt of my axe stopped that.

Eventually we regrouped, and broke through another door, into the lair of Dragtoof himself, the Ogre roared out a challenge as his pet Orc and Fimir charged, though his roar was dulled when Tregar finally became useful and launched a fireball into his face. Lady Tiriel took out the Orc while Drizzt and I handled the Fimir. Wulfgar was busy "protecting" the Princess.....

We made our way back to town to collect our reward, though the incessant whineing of the Princess has grated on all our nerves, even that of the Paladin. The sooner we are rid of her, the better.

Tons of fun (and nicely painted figures, too)! :-*
I hope you realize that you're obliged to construct a beautiful 3D dungeon board for them to play on now, right...? ;)

Thats on my to do list ;D

Great stuff Flip! Like that colour on the fimir, and the hero quest models all painted up kinda nicely. Is that an Aenur you used for Drizzt?

Excellent work, the minis are top! I've got one of those orcs lying round the lead pile somewhere...

;)
So many famous names - I never realized Wulfgar was that randy in the novels... Maybe it's his horny twin brother you met.
Nice game.

Cool report. The detail on Wulfgar sword is great. I like the way you based the figures as well. Heldrak is right, you need to construct a full sized 3d board for these figs to play on.

Super Duper!
Classic colour scheme on the fimir 8)
- always confused me why the one on the back of the box was brown but all the others I saw were green.
My Heroquest minis keep calling me too - and I've been looking longingly at the dungeon stuff from Ainsty... ::)
